- אַלְוַוְיתָא, אַלְוַויְיתָאf. ch. (= h. לְוָיָה) escort, reception on arriving and leaving. Y.Maasr.II, 49d other people דלית אלוויתיה שכיחא לון (read … תא) who do not frequently meet with a reception (an offer of refreshments ). Ib. דַּלְוַויָיתֵיהוכ׳ (= דאל) who may fairly expect a reception. Cmp. אִילַּוָּיוּתָא.
